A engineering firm based in Kuwait is on a recruitment drive for a General Manager who has experience in the Middle East and will be reporting into the COO.

The GM will be plan, direct and control operations of the business, such as sales, supply chain, customer relations, administrative, in order to run cost effective operations and achieve business results and profitability growth objectives, within the limits of authority laid down by the Board of Directors

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate the strategic plans and budgets identifying the long-term direction for the businesses in order to achieve business results
  • Identify the strategic business and market trends, i.e. competitors and principals’ activities, customers’ behaviors, and ensure alignment of the various business components to these trends and formulate solutions to cope with market changes.
  • Participate in due diligence in order to assess the business implications for mergers and acquisitions and recommend solutions.
  • Identify new lines of business and products in order to expand business opportunities and minimize the impact in adverse market conditions for any given product.
  • Plan and direct marketing and commercial activities, such as pricing, product mix, promotions, advertising, sales targets, etc… so that agreed profit, sales and market share targets are achieved in order to obtain competitive position in industry.
  • Plan and direct the sales and after sales activities to ensure that the services rendered to customers are of the highest quality in order to achieve the target customer satisfaction index.
  • Ensure compliance with the Group policies and procedures, in areas of purchasing, IT, HR
  • Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare the manpower budget pertaining to required staffing levels, training and development, internal mobility and succession.
  • Identify objectives and KPIs, review the performance and potential of staff and make/approve decisions relating to appointment and termination, promotions and salary adjustments, disciplinary action, succession planning and development plans.

Requirements

  • Must have industry experience – engineering / automotive
  • Must be an Arabic native
  • Required to have proven record of achieving sales and targets

  • Basic Salary: 4200 KWD – 4500 KWD
